How this finder works
This helper filters five-letter words from the colors on your board. Green means the letter sits in that slot. Yellow means it is in the word, wrong place. Grey means we should not suggest that letter again, unless it is already locked as green or yellow on a duplicate.
Remaining words are sorted by how common they are in English, not by information-theory rank. That is enough to pick a sensible next guess. The list is larger than the daily game’s curated answers, so you will see extras the New York Times may reject. Browse the same length at 5-letter words.

Questions
- How do I set green, yellow, and grey?
- Type the letter, then tap the tile. Colors cycle grey → yellow → green. The line under the row repeats that instruction so you do not have to remember a shortcut.
- Does this use the official Wordle answer list?
- No. It filters five-letter words from the same public list the rest of Wordish uses. That list is larger than the daily game’s curated answers. Treat the result as candidates, not a promise the NYT will accept every word.
- Which dictionary is this?
- Words are checked against ENABLE, a public U.S. list used for Scrabble-style play. It is not the official tournament book, and it is not a defining dictionary. Tournament TWL and international CSW are not loaded yet.
- Can I use this mid-game?
- Yes. Enter the guess you already made and mark the colors you received. The solver only needs the current constraints, not a perfect history of every prior row.
- How are suggestions ordered?
- By word frequency: more common words first. We do not compute entropy or “best probe” scores. If two words are equally common, they sort alphabetically.
